Terms & Conditions

Pupil Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before booking. By booking a lesson, block or intensive course you agree to the conditions below.

Last updated: 2026 · These terms may be updated from time to time.

1. Your Instructor's Responsibilities

  • Provide you with lesson tuition at the hourly rate communicated to you from time to time.
  • At all times conduct themselves in a professional manner: being considerate to you; avoiding physical contact except in an emergency; not smoking during your lessons; and restricting mobile phone use to emergencies.
  • Driving tests take priority over lessons, therefore a lesson already booked may have to be cancelled or postponed if the instructor receives short notice of a driving test — especially in the wake of the backlog.
  • Under GDPR regulations, all information provided is destroyed on passing your test or leaving the tuition course.

2. Lesson Cancellation Policy

  • You must give your instructor at least two days' (48 hours') notice if you wish to cancel or rearrange a driving lesson, otherwise you will be liable to pay 100% of the lesson fee, with no exceptions.
  • If your instructor cancels your lesson at short notice, the lesson will be given at a discounted rate (mechanical or electrical problems excluded).
  • All prepaid lessons are valid for 6 months from the start date.
  • Two strikes and out: due to time wasters, if more than 2 lessons are cancelled at short notice and unpaid, the course may be terminated, as many students are available and willing to take lessons in preparation for a test.

3. Blocks & Intensive Courses

  • Blocks of lessons and intensive courses must be cancelled with at least 1 month's notice, otherwise the full amount will be charged.
  • Block and intensive courses are goal-focused and include your theory test fast-tracking.
  • Intensive courses range from 10 to 40 hours — ask for current availability and timescales.

4. Driving Test Day Fee

  • The practical driving test day fee is £120.

5. Damage To The Car

During lessons, every effort will be made to avoid damage to the car. However, if you are considered to be driving in a dangerous or unpredictable way during a lesson and actual damage is caused despite best efforts, you will be expected to pay towards repairs (up to the level of the excess on the instructor's insurance policy in the case of an accident), including 50% of the cost towards damage to tyres and alloy wheels. This will be discussed at the time of the damage.

In addition, during driving tests the examiner will not prevent you, the candidate, from hitting the kerb or causing other similar minor damage to the car.

6. Changes In Your Circumstances

  • You agree to inform Andreia's Driving School if your circumstances change due to health or driving penalties, and acknowledge receipt of a copy of these terms and conditions.

7. COVID-19

  • You are entering your instructor's vehicle at your own risk; your instructor will not be liable if you contract Coronavirus.
